Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions from employers and workers using DomesticPro.

General Questions

Everything you need to know about how DomesticPro works.

DomesticPro is a recruitment marketplace that connects households and businesses with verified drivers and domestic housemaids. Instead of relying on word-of-mouth referrals or unverified agents, employers can search a structured directory of candidates, and workers can build a profile that puts them in front of serious employers.

The platform serves two types of users: Employers looking to hire personal or corporate drivers, housemaids, nannies, cleaners, or live-in/live-out staff, and Workers (drivers and housemaids) looking for verified employment opportunities.

No. Registration is free for both employers and workers. Employers can browse profiles and post jobs on a free plan, with optional paid plans that unlock premium features like featured listings and expanded candidate contact access.

Register as a worker, choose your category (Driver or Housemaid), and complete your profile: photo, bio, work experience, skills, availability, and identification documents. Drivers can add license type, years of experience, and vehicle familiarity; housemaids can add cleaning, cooking, childcare, and laundry experience.

No. Your public profile shows the information employers need to evaluate you, such as your photo, experience, skills, and availability. Sensitive documents such as ID uploads are kept private and are only used for internal verification.

Interested employers can send you an inquiry through the platform. You’ll be able to view, respond to, and manage all incoming inquiries and job applications from your worker dashboard.

Yes. Browse open job listings and apply directly with your profile and any supporting documents requested. You can track the status of every application, including Submitted, Viewed, Shortlisted, Interviewing, Rejected, or Hired, from your dashboard.

A verified badge means the account holder has completed our verification process, which may include email confirmation, phone verification, and identity or document review, followed by admin approval. It is one of the ways we work to reduce fraudulent activity on the platform.

Use the contact or report option on the listing or profile, or reach out to our support team directly through the Contact page. Our admin team reviews all reports and can suspend accounts or remove listings that violate our guidelines.

No. Creating a worker profile and applying to jobs is completely free for drivers and housemaids.

For Employers & Hiring

Posting jobs, contacting candidates, and managing your subscription.

Register as an employer, then either post a job listing describing the role, or search the worker directory directly by role, location, experience, and availability, and contact candidates whose profiles match your needs.

Verified workers display a verification badge on their profile, based on email, phone, and identity checks. We recommend prioritizing verified profiles and always conducting your own reference checks before hiring.

Yes. Your available job postings depend on your subscription plan. Free accounts have limited postings, while Basic and Premium employer plans allow more active listings and additional visibility features such as featured jobs.

Once you find a candidate, you can send a direct inquiry through the platform. Depending on the worker’s settings and your account tier, full contact details may be revealed after an initial exchange or upon verification.

We offer a Free Plan for basic access, a Basic Employer Plan, and a Premium Employer Plan with expanded job postings, featured listings, and priority visibility in worker searches. Plan details and pricing are available on the Pricing page.

We currently support secure payments via Paystack and Flutterwave.
